The narrator is Nick Caraway. His perspective of things are told in a very descriptive, and observant way. Nick has money but not as much as money as others in New York. Nick;s hometown is in the mid west Nick attended college at Yale.Nck fought in the great war, and aspires to be a bonds seller. When Nick describes a new character in the story he makes sure to give great detail including their personality and he also their apperance, to paint an image in your mind. Nickgives you plenty background information so you can form your own opinion and thoughts about the character. He also makes sure that the reader understands that he is not a judgemental person so that you can trust him as he tells the story.

I think that Scott Fiitzgerald chose to have another character tell us the story so that way we can get another persons point of view. I also think that using another character to tell the story feels like I can relate to them and they are better painting a picture for me to better understand the plots, and other situations.
